Codes and integrations
The activity, task and disbursement codes time and money are recorded against, and the firm's credentials for mail, text messages and other services.
Codes
Under Settings, Codes:
- Activity codes describe the work in a time entry, such as drafting or attending court, with whether it is chargeable by default and the practice areas it applies to.
- Tasks codes are phases or tasks that group work; a matter's budget splits by the phases.
- Disbursements codes describe what is paid out, such as a filing fee or a search fee, with the account it posts to and whether it is an agency payment outside the VAT base or an ordinary one within it.
A code in use can be deactivated, from its row's menu, but not removed. Reactivate brings it back.

Integrations
The firm's credentials for the services the system uses, such as sending email and text messages, are kept encrypted under Settings, Integrations.
- Enter the credentials for the provider.
- Use Test connection to check them against the provider. The result says plainly whether it worked, with the provider's own message if not.
- Record when the credentials expire; the system warns before they do.

For the GRA credential and the fiscalisation workflow, see Fiscalise bills with the GRA.
