Your Docavra subscription

Where to find it

Open Settings, Subscription. It has three tabs: Plan, Invoices and Verification. Firm administrators may read and change it; nobody else sees it.

The plan

Plan shows the firm's plan, how often it pays, the seats in use, any credit on the account and the day it renews.

• Change the plan to move up or down, or to pay monthly or yearly. A move up applies at once, and the rest of the period is invoiced. A move down waits until the period ends.
• Cancel ends the subscription when the paid period runs out. The firm's records stay readable afterwards for the time its notice gives.
• Renewals can be taken from a card or a mobile money wallet the firm keeps on file. A wallet is approved by its owner, by a code the network texts or a prompt on the phone.

Invoices and paying

Every invoice from Docavra is under Invoices, with what it charges, the tax on it and what is still owed. Open one to:

• Pay the amount owed by card or mobile money, through the payment provider. You come back to a page that waits for the provider's answer.
• Send proof of a transfer if the firm paid by bank transfer or deposit into one of the accounts the invoice shows. Give the amount, the day, the bank's reference and the slip; Docavra matches it to the bank and the account is credited.
• Open the PDF of the invoice, or the receipt of a payment.

Verification

Docavra checks that every firm is a law firm in practice. Under Verification, send the principal's name, their licence or enrolment number and the chambers registration. You are told once it is checked, or why it was not accepted.

When a bill goes unpaid

A renewal that is not paid gives the firm a few days of grace. After that the firm becomes read only: everyone keeps reading the firm's records, but nothing new is recorded until the invoice is paid. A banner above every screen says why and links here.
