Task guide
Recording an officer change
Appoint a director or secretary, end an appointment or record new particulars as a guided change, through its resolution and consent to the register and its filing.
The register of directors and secretaries changes only when a change is recorded. Each change is worked in steps, so the resolution, the consent and the filing are never forgotten.
Start the change
On the company's Officers tab choose Record a change, or End the appointment or Change particulars from an officer's menu. Say what changes and from when:
- an appointment: the person, the office, their nationality, occupation, residence and their residential address and address for service;
- a cessation: the officer and why the office ends (resigned, removed, retired, died or disqualified);
- new particulars for an officer in office.

The steps
The change opens on its own page, with its next step as the button:
- Draft the resolution from one of the firm's templates. A board resolution or the members' resolution the firm's rules ask for removing that office.
- Ask for consent to act (an appointment): a document request goes to the incoming officer, filed in the retainer's folder you choose.
- Record the change: an appointment records the signed consent and the day it was signed. Removing a director records the notices, the hearing offered and the representations the Act requires.
On recording, the register changes on the effective date and the Registrar filing is raised with its due date on the secretarial matter. Until then Withdraw the change ends it with a reason and nothing on the register moves.
Reading the register
The register reads as at any day (the As at date beside it). Ceased officers are behind the Standing filter. Each officer's details show their Ghana Card check from the party's KYC, their consent and the resolution that appointed them. Committees and the interests directors declare sit on the same tab.
